Mountain Bike Classifications and Rules

Class Descriptions:
BEGINNER: This class is for those who have never raced before or have raced very little. You ride maybe two times a week. On the Time Trial you are NOT allowed to use the "Rabbit Hole" technical route.

SPORT: You've been riding for a while, you can ride Granite Bay, Auburn and Salmon Falls and do OK. You might spend 3-4 days a week riding. Eligible for the "Rabbit Hole" on the TT.

EXPERT: You know who you are.  You live to crush your competitor buddies. Most of you will choose to take the "Rabbit Hole" on the TT.

SINGLE SPEED: Ummmm you only have ONE GEAR on your bike. This is a Sport or Expert class.

CLYDESDALE: Are you 200 lbs or over? The Clyd's class is a class for the big guys at the sport level. Watch out! They can be pretty fast. If you are not at least at the sport fitness and skill level, try the Beginner class instead.
